| Danish driver Magnussen was all at sea for three-quarters of the season, but he gave a better account of himself later on, especially at Zeltweg and the Nürburgring. As a result of these improved performances, he was retained for the 1998 season. But for a long time, the outlook was less rosy. Next year will be very important for his career. |
