Outstripped in 1997, the
British-Italian team has worked well during the winter
break. The brand new B198, designed by chief engineer
Nick Wirth, appears much more competitive than its
predecessor. Add to that the simultaneous arrival of
David Richard, as managing director, of Giancarlo
Fisichella and Alexander Wurz as the two drivers, and the
tyre manufacturer Bridgestone, and you have a powerful
mix that could be capable of causing a major surprise in
1998. Especially as the Mécachrome V10 remains extremely
reliable. So who knows... |
