Unfortunately, it is to be feared that the 1998 season will closely resemble the 1997 campaign. Discreetly presented, the black Arrows A19 looks as if it's in mourning for a year that can at best be called a year of transition. After a disastrous season (apart from his brilliant showing in Hungary), Damon Hill has left for more ambitious horizons. The promising Finnish driver, Mika Salo, has arrived, and Pedro Diniz continues to make progress. But the big question mark hangs over the Arrows V10 Hart engine. Exit Yamaha. Enter Hart, in which Tom Walkinshaw has purchased a majority stake. But it is hard to see how a Hart-powered TWR car will manage to get into the points this season...
