I received an email from Bache crewman Bob Davis on 1 MAY 98 stating ". . . the sailor on the left is Joel Dean Davis, who was my best buddy. His home was Texarkana, Texas. . . He and I had to clean up the mess in the after engine room on the way back to the states. The one good thing was that we didn't have to stand watch, therefore we got a full nights sleep." Thanks Bob!

Ray Nolte, a Navy diver from Pittsburgh, PA, and his wife, Delores.
If so, it was taken in New York after the war ended.
