I was in the Airborne Regt. Cadet Corp in the 70's in Edmonton..felt privledged to be associated with the Airborne that way. I then Joined the Signels Reserve in High School (i figured may as well get paid to do all that polishing). I finally joined full ime and got posted to Petawawa with the 8th CH Signel section,in the early 80's. I then got out and went back to college. I really feel you guys in the Regiment got burned by the Somilia incident. I have no faith in our politicans to make wise choices..th y are too worried about the sound/T.V. bite for that evenings news these days.

Great page! I will be back again. Although my back ground was RCAF and CF Air, I was disgusted when I heard that the Airborne was being disbanded. I would like to point out that the "American meaning" for the Confederate "Rebel" Flag, as it is refered to in your website DOES NOT EXIST. It has many meanings to many different people in the US too. As what you might call a Good Ole'Boy, to me it mean all things country, and it is a symbol of good, hard working, unpretentious people. While it has many other meanings and has been used by groups of hatemongers, much to my chagrin, it does not hold that meaning for many people. Hi; Great site. I'll be going to one of the reunions, but I don't know which one yet. I'm stationed in Ottawa right now and my family is in Winnipeg. Once I figure out leave times for home this summer I will be at one of them! Oh ya, I am the guy who originated the airborne business cards when we were in Cyprus on the 86/87 winter tour.
