The Veterans Voting Line is open to all military veterans; those who have served over 180 days (honorably discharged), retirees, active duty personnel, Reservists, National Guard, and their immediate families; to include spouses and children of voting age, and parents who might reside within the household of the military member.
Dues for membership in VVL is $10.00 (US) per year.
Only members whose dues are current may cast a vote during
regular or special meetings.
A special consideration is made for non-military membership -
- those who are sympathetic to veterans concerns and patriots
of our national defense. These members will hold an associate
membership, and there will be no dues charged for this type member.
The purpose of the Veterans Voting Line (VVL) is to inform, enlighten and educate veterans and their families in the voting process. The main goal is to encourage each member to take a more active role in the election of our political leaders. Veteran Voting Line's scope of politics is intended to reach all areas of political office, city, county, state and national elections. It is not VVL's objective to influence its membership to vote in a particular manner, or to vote along party lines. VVL will endeavor to present unbiased information concerning issues and current legislative matters that affect members and the military and veteran community in general. These matters will be of a military nature concerning military and retiree affairs. VVL is not affiliated with any political party and will not seek the single party vote.
Place and time of meetings will be determined and announced
at each meeting. Special meetings will require notification
of the membership at least 14 days prior to the meeting,
at which time the date, site and time will be announced.
Currently, meetings are held at noon on the second Thursday
of each month, at "Las Vaqueros" restaurant on N. Main St.,
Fort Worth, TX (in the Stockyards area).
