KADEK KIDNAPS TEENAGERS IN FRANCE

Since the PKK (newly called KADEK) has been suffering from the lack of cadres due to executions within the organization and escapes after being included in the "terrorist organizations list" by the European Union, it has recently intensified its activities of "kidnapping teenagers" in the European countries.

According to the news appearing in the local French media, it has been revealed that 6 girls are kidnapped by the terrorists from KADEK, among who is the daughter of Resul Sever, the chairman of the "Red Crescent of Kurdistan" operating in Marseille under the guidance of the terrorist organization.

The police of Marseille have begun to make investigations after the applications made by the Kurdish families in Marseille, Marignane and Montpellier who declared "their children are lost". The police revealed that 6 girls are kidnapped by KADEK and brought to the training camps. They pursued closely the PKK association (Kurdish Public Center) that played an efficient role in kidnapping these children and found out that the association conducts an intense propaganda activity towards the young girls in order to convince them to take part in the terrorist organization. It has announced that the police began to take the legal steps to close the association operating under the guidance of the terrorist organization.

Last month in Montpellier-France, the KADEK (PKK), which tries to deal with its recent lack of cadres, kidnapped also a Kurdish girl called Gulcan Algul. It has been revealed that the terrorists from KADEK kidnapped Gulcan Algul on January 24th, 2003 while she was alone at home, after having pursued her for a long time. This kidnapping case has been revealed after the complaint made by the Algul family who took refuge first in Italy and then in France one year ago with the help of the KADEK. The family said: "Our daughter is kidnapped by the KADEK. Because we didn't give the money asked by the organization. Therefore, we have often been threatened".

In an article published in Focus Magazine on November 4th, 2002 it is said: "the PKK claiming that it has given up conducting the violent activities continues kidnapping children and teenagers. That Vildan S., a student studying in Blumlager School in Celle city in the state of Lower Saxony, has suddenly disappeared led the police and State Protection Unit to take action. Celle is known as an important city center for the activities of the terrorist PKK. Previously, many children in the same age (those who are 15 years old or younger) are also kidnapped by the PKK in order to train them in the camps. State Protection Unit officials express that the girl might be sent to the camps of the PKK in Netherlands or Belgium. On the other hand, the security officials indicate that Vildan S., who is kidnapped by the PKK, might be sent to conflict area in Iraq after having got an ideological training. Rudiger Hesse, spokesman of the Agency for Constitutional Protection of Lower Saxony, draws attention to the fact that although the PKK is banned since 1993, it continues its activities in Germany, extorts money, and kidnaps children and teenagers to bring them to its camps. A senior official of the PKK gave an explanation to the FOCUs and said that Vildan was undergoing an intense training in the camps of the organization but did not disclosed where she was.

In the report published by the United Nations and "Radda-Bamen" Swedish Organization for Protecting Children, it is said: "till now, the PKK has kidnapped more than 3000 children and gave them an ideological training. The children kidnapped in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Syria, Greece, Turkey, Iraq, Armenia and Iran are used in the armed activities of the PKK". The report has also warned the related units of the EU countries about the "kidnapping activities" of the PKK, which changed its name as KADEK.
