Last night, March 10th 2000, I attended teh Sharon High School Battle of the Bands.  Although I am not a student at Sharon high, I am good friends with the boys of Irepress so I snuck in anyways.  When Irepress came on, needless to say, the pit opened up.  Now I just want to say that when I am in the pit I am having fun, I'm not out to kill everyone in my way.  Of course you get hit and hit a few kids while your in there, but if you are on the outskirts of the pit, your just as likely to get hit.  Anyone who has ever been to a show would agree with me when I say that if you are near the pit and you get hit, its your own damn fault.  Now you may be asking yourself why I am babling about this seemingly pointless nonsense, well here is your awnser.  I hit some kid in the head last night and he came after me.  He was crying about getting hit and decided he wanted to fight.  This was quickly broken up before any real punches were thrown, and after the song ended I approached him.  I told him I didnt mean to hit him, and before I could explain anything else, he started talking shit.  I decided he wasnt worth my time, not to mention the kid could have kicked my ass....so I returned to dancing.  Anyways, the whole point of this is that there is no need for this kind of senseless hatred and violence.  If you dont want to get hit stay away from the pit.  It is as simple as that.  And if you do get hit, dont cry about it, its your own fault.  MOst of the kids are in there to have a good time and support the band, not to piss you off.  This kid that came after me was also going after a few other kids so I figure he was just a dumb fuck trying to start fights for no reason at all.  Its kids like this that give us a bad name.  That pisses me off.
