Black and Red Floral Dress
Here's a new dress I got a few days ago at Filenes. They were having one of those "Silly" sales where you end up paying $10 for $100 dresses This one was $13.00! I also got 3 skirts, 3 tops, and shoes Whenever I mention my shopping I get emails from girls for hints I have addressed this subject frequently, but here 's a few hints that will make things easier for you: Go ealry or late on weekdays. Avoid weekends if possible Go to a branch that's a fair distance from where you live, you'll worry less about people knowing you Leave plenty of time, you should not be in a rush Don't bother with the "My wife/girlfriend/sister story--they don't believe you anyway! Be nice! Be Nice! Be Nice! Buy whatever you think might work for you--you can always return stuff Know your sizes Don't ask to try stuff on Don't skulk about, be decisive. Act like buying dresses for yourself is the most natural thing in the world Leave if the person taking care of you is uncomfortable or difficult. Be friendly if the person is friendly, but don't overdo it. When I got this dress the girl taking care of me was in her 20's. A simple smile changed her demeanor completely Go back to the same sales person. They may be on commission. I bought so much from a woman at Lord and Taylor that she asked for a picture of me! And she let me try stuff on when it wasn't busy. A little privacy please! HOME
