How to join the mailing list

What is a "mailing list"?
 A mailing list is in essence an e-mail broadcasting system whereby any member of the list can send a message to a central address that distributes it to all other members of the list.

What are the benefits of joining?
The mailing list allows a group with a common interest to share news with each other or have group conversations.
