Medieval Enlumining or the art of miniature painting in books.
Here are examples of my enluminings, enjoy:
(excuse me for the loading time, I had to keep some quality)
The Book of Pronotep:
Pages 25 & 26 of a 126 page book containing 36 illustrations. Covered by black leather and bounded by strings, this full cotton paper book was bought in Venice - Italy.
Le Monde du Tarot de Visconti:
50cm x 30cm White Bark paper covered with inks using an Italian cristal pen. The text is composed partly of the Methamorphosis of Omer (1668) 'The World'. Enluminings of the Lame 21 of the Tarot du Visconti and 15th Century holy book cover.
The Unholy ritual of Vampire Purification:
Yellow Papyrus paper covered using ancient paints & colors by a rituel in real Hieroglyphs. The structure of the parchemin is based on the Egyptian's book of the dead.
The Maya Ritual of Death/Creation:
This Black Papyrus document is a copy of one of the only surviving Maya Text (found of a cooking plate; thus the glyph lower key on the second row). It illustrates the procession of Mayan gods giving gifts to their leader.
