Francovic was born in Bologna (Italy) in 1954; his art-name is actually the old slovenian family name that, under the fascist government, was changed into an Italian surname. He began to paint very young, and learnt how to copy the great artists of the past: from Caravaggio to De Chirico he studied and painted, with hundreds of oil-paintings and drawings, four centuries of art. Since 1985 Francovic has displayed his works in several international exhibitions, welcome by public and critics.
