I use 3/4" shelving with white melamine finish from your local home improvement center. It is easy to keep clean and solid. Sometimes I am lucky enough to find formica counter top that is 1 1/2" thick. Photo 2: Shows the Lower Section. Securely attach the Adjustable Antenna Mount to the base with wood screws. Attach the 3/4" x 1/2" bell reducer and 1/2" x 8" Galvanized Pipe. Photo 3: Attach the 1/2" Coupler and 1/2" Close Nipple - all threaded pipe approximately 1" long. Add the Big Flat Washer with 3/4" inside opening over the pipe and resting on the coupler. This serves as a spacer/bearing that the lamp mold will turn on. Slide the 3/4" x 4" Floor Flange over the pipe. Cut an 8" round disk of 1/2" Plywood. Drill 1 1/2" hole in the center and screw it to the floor flange. The disk size is not critical. It can be as big as 12". Photo 4: Shows the upper section. Attach the 1/2" x 1/4" Bell Reducer - use 2 pipe wrenches, 1 on the reducer and 1 on the coupler, and tighten so the flange turns on the pipe, but snug enough so that it doesn't wobble. NOTE: This step requires a 1/2" - 13 NC Tap Re-thread the bell reducer with the tap. There is no drilling required since the size is correct, but there is a difference between the pipe thread and the machine thread. Thread the 1/2" x 12" threaded rod with 1/2" nut into the reducer. The rod and nut are the "adjustable" parts. The rod can be screwed in or out as much as needed and then the nut is tightened down to lock it in place. The height depends on which mold is used and the size on the inner disk used with the mold. To secure the mold to the Leveler, drill 1 1/2" hole in inner wood disk. Next, drill 1/2" hole in top of mold. Set disk and mold on "Larry's Lamp Leveler" and secure in place with 1/2" flat washer and 1/2" wing nut. Clamp to your workbench for use. You will find this tilts very easily with one hand on the mold and one on the handle of the antenna mount. It also revolves very easily to work your way around the mold.
