Jennifer's begonia Lamps,
designed by Carol Conti

Left: This angel is Jan Patten's design from Glass Patterns Quarterly (Fall 96 issue I think). I made it approx. 2 ft. x 2 ft. and used iridescent granite for the wings and green baroque for the dress.
Right: A wedding gift for a family member, approx 18 in. high, and done in a melange of glasses including Bullseye, Yok., Uroboros and others.

My first (and only, to date) large lamp. Tiffany 16 in. Tulips, done mostly in Bullseye, about 3 or 4 years ago. Unfortunately we hadn't read Don Conti's instructions on photographing lamps at that point so there is a serious "hot spot" dead center.

And now for something completely different... lamination. I use a UV light sensitive glue which, unlike silicone, doesn't yellow over time. This is a pair of book ends I made for my brother-in-law last Christmas, and a paper weight (or thingummy to fiddle with while someone has you on "hold" on the phone!) I use ordinary 3 mm clear glass, and smooth the edges with VERY fine 0000 wet/dry sandpaper.
