I have visited the National Gallery of Arts in Washington D.C. in August
2000. They have a nice collection of Monet paintings. They
also had lots of interesting exhibitions, including some very impressive
models of famous architectures. I was very glad about the whole experience.
Another
place that I have seen a Monet painting is the Getty's Museum in Southern
California. Seeing the Haystack in person changed my opinion of the
painting completely. The way he skillfully mastered his art and made
the paint seems to come off looking like actual hay just blew me away.
That was completely different from looking at a printed version of the
painting.

Claude

give me a very soothing, peaceful feeling.
