The Purpose, 8/89

God has put us all on this Earth;
Why? This we try to learn from birth.
Some are famous and become the legends;
but for the rest of us life just simply ends.

So for us, what is the purpose of our life?
An answer so complex, yet cuts like a knife.
For me, life means so many different things;
to be sad and glad, not clear as a bee's sting.

I'm sad when I work at my present employ;
without a challenge, it provides me no joy.
But to provide for the family I adore;
is a purpose, a need, I will not ignore.

The basic message, I wish you to follow;
in one's life, there will be joy and sorrow.
How you will deal with each and every stage;
decides your fate; early death or ripe old age.
