In this page you can find the midi files of my compositions.
These can be played on any GS module capable of at least 28 voices. You are recommended to use a SC55 compatible sound generator. If you have a Roland SC88, SC88Pro or MGS64, don't forget to set them to emulate a SC55 in order to listen to the song as I intended. Some song were composed specifically for the Roland SC88Pro Expander. In this case to listen to them correctly you need an SC88Pro
If you don't have a GS compatible sound generator, don't bother downloading the midi files contained in this page, because you will not hear them correctly; in this case you might want to check one of these audio version:

The song was composed on the SC88PRO and is intended to be heard on such expander: for all those who are not lucky enough to have it, I have prepared a lower quality version for SC55.
This song was written based on the Roland
Sound Canvas User Group theme project. The idea was to take a short
motif, let a group of composers and users of the Roland expander, compose
their own piece of music with it, and make a little contest to
establish the best composition. A very simple 7
note sequence was suggested, and each partecipant to the project, could
develope it in any way.
For my composition I took the style from a song by Ennio Morricone,
from "The untouchables" soundtrack. There is also a bridge taken from "Swan
Lake" from Tchiaikowsky.
At the beginning I wanted to write a song describing the entrance of
a big american mafia boss (like Al Capone) in a ballroom, accompanied by
his young and fragile woman, who doesn't love him, but stays with him because
she is afraid of him. As soon as the song developed, I thought that it
would be more adeguate as the main titles for a TV series of a couple of
detective: the man is big and fat, while the woman appears little and fragile
(but she is not!).
The song was composed on the SC88PRO and is intended to be heard on such expander: for all those who are not lucky enough to have it, I have prepared a lower quality version for SC55.
This song was dedicated to the birth of my daughter Hanna
The first part of the tune shows traces of the influence of EnnioMorricone while the rhythmic part was written after hearing many times "Driving Miss Daisy" by H. Zimmer
This one was composed for fun while I was making some experiments with the famous James Bond Theme. It was composed on a SC88Pro and it sounds at best on it rather than on a SC55.
The music was composed to describe the following situation. During middle ages, a Scottish warrior is condemned to exile. He is climbing upon a hill to leave his native country. When he is on the hill he turns back and looks at the valley. His heart is full of love for that landscape, but he must go.
This composition was tought for a ballet based on the memories of a love story in Buenos Aires.

Volterra is an italian medieval town rich of mistery. A famous lawyer living in Volterra is walking in a little street to go back home and it is raining. Suddenly a man comes out from the dark and shoots him.
Nuvole is an italian word that means "clouds" . This song belongs
to the same category (nature) as AQUA and is inspired by clouds. It might
also be the soundtrack for the ads of a woman perfume called "Nuvole" .
This song has a strong Vangelis influence.
This song was dedicated to the birth of my daughter

My secret dream is to write soundtracks for TV and movie. I have imagined a TV series based on a French detective called Lamousse, who lives in Paris. This song requires 28 voices. If you like this tune but your GS module has only 24 voices, I can send you a version that fits into 24 voices.

The name of my wife is Kirsen, and this song is dedicated to her.
If any of you has made a film about mafia and needs a soundtrack, may be this is what you are looking for.
I composed this song to reproduce an old fashioned atmosphere of the fifties.
Water life cycle is the theme that inspired this composition. Rain drops that join together to form rivers that flow into the sea in the finale
The title means "I have moved". Once again I have imagined a film scene: someone is moving into a new apartment and is packing all the things before leaving the old one. The atmosphere should be a mixture of excitement and nostalgia.
"Lullaby for Max" is the title of this song. Some theories state that a newborn baby is calmed by hearing a heartbeat: that's why I have used the heartbeat instead of the drums. I have written this lullaby to help my son to sleep. I had no success with him :-(
I hope that at least you like this tune.
