part of John Evelyn's Diary and the whole of selected
publications by John Evelyn. They are issued "as is" for the use
of students and researchers courtesy of John T. Harwood
(jth@psu.edu) and Penn State. The files are in WordPerfect 4.2 or
5.1, so most wordprocessors should be able to read them.
The selection and editorial content are copyrighted by Guy de la
Bedoyere; those parts of the Diary text not published before 1955
are copyrighted by the Trustees of the Esate of Major Peter
Evelyn. The actual texts are public domain but if excerpts are
used, credit for the transcription should be given to Mr. de la
Bedoyere.
The selection from Evelyn's Diary has recently been published by
Boydell and Brewer The texts of Evelyn's other publications are
