Peer Metselaar is a Dutch painter and sculpter. In a review of an exhibition
the Eindhovens Dagblad's art critic Désirée Meulenbroeks wrote about him:
"His images depict a world inhabited by animals, devils and angels and people struggeling with the choice between good and evil.""His titles are an indication Metselaar leans toward a pragmatic optimism: "Man isn't evil (if need be)", is the caption of one of his pictures"
"In a pictorial sense he can, with a minimum of means if he so chooses, achieve a realism reminiscent of early renaissance painters like Dürer."
