Saab - fine Swedish cars

The Toyota Prius, a hybrid (two sources of energy: electic and gasoline) is quite friendly to the environment.

The Honda Insight (see picture above) uses even less gasoline.

And my parents just love their new Volvo V40.

Look out for the Renault Twingo (my first car).

Architecture

See the pages of the Chicago Architecture Foundation, since that area has a lot happening. Frank Lloyd Wright was there, Mies van der Rohe has a few buildings there, including his famous Farnsworth House.

For architecture education, you should look at Syracuse University or Harvard's Graduate School of Design.
