Hesperus

Hesperus, or Vesper, was the God or Goddess of the evening star. Hesperus is referred to as both a god and goddess in mythological texts. She was either the son or brother of Atlas. In later mythology Hesperus was identified with the morning star (Phosphorus) and Eosphorus, which is latin for Lucifer the bringer of light.

Hesperus was the father/mother of Hesperis, mother of the Hesperides, who guarded the golden apples, or possibly of the Hesperides themselves.
