Erebus
Erebus was the personification of primeval Darkness, according to the poet Hesiod. The son of Chaos, Erebus fathered the Day (Hemera) and the Sky (Aether) with his sister, Night, or Nyx. They have also been credited with being the parents of Charon, the ferryman of the river Styx. In later mythology Erebus was described as the molten earth above the river Styx, which led to Tartarus and Hades' realm.
It is also possible that Erebus and Nyx were the Hesperides parents. The Hesperides, named Aegle, Erytheia, and Hespere by Hesiod, guarded the tree that bore the golden apples that Gaea gave to Hera when she married Zeus.
There is also a Mount Erebus in Antartica.
