Dione

The Titaness Dione was, according to Homer, the mother of Aphrodite by Zeus. In the Illiad Aphrodite calls her 'Mother', but the reference may not be literall. In some parts of Greece she was referred to as the partner of Zeus, in the place of Hera. Dione has also been named as the daughter of Oceanus and mother of Dionysis.

The Greek's may have also adopted her as Goddess of the Oak from Asia-Minor. Some people also believe Dione is the feminine version/side of Zeus (Dion). To say the least she is one of the more mysterious Goddesses, there are so many myths surrounding her.
