Aphaia

Aphaia, or Aphaea, was a Greek Goddess associated with Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt. An epithet of Britomartis, the Cretan hunting goddess who was the daughter of Zeus and Carme, she was mainly worshipped in the Mediterranean island of Aegina.

The great temple dedicated to her still stands in ruins on the summit of Aegina. The pediment of this temple contained some of the most masterly sculpture of the archaic period, illustrating the Trojan War.
