Looking like a miniature fiord, this narrow arm of the sea is an anchorage for boats in calm weather; at the first sign of a storm the boats are winched up a steep slipway and landed. The boats at Wied iz-Zurriea were, and still are, used for fishing; now, however, the fishermen are finding out that it is more lucrative to take visitors to the nearby Blue Grotto. |
