Your meal on the Hoof or Wing

Venison Stroganoff

2 pounds venison steak                                 7 tbls. flour

1 1/2 cups beef stock                                   Cooking oil

1 - 8 oz. can tomato paste                             3 tbls. butter

2 tbls. Worcestershire sauce                       1 - 4 oz. can mushrooms (sliced)

1 cup sour cream                                          1 medium onion (diced)

1/2 tsp. garlic salt                                      1 cup rice or 2 cups noodles

1 tbsp. soy sauce

Cut steak into one inch cubes, using 4 Tbsp. of the flour,flour and brown quickly in hot oil. Remove meat from skillet and set aside. in same skillet add butter, mushrooms (drained), onion and garlic salt. Cook until onion is tender. Then remove the onions and mushrooms and set aside with the meat. To the butter, add 3 tbsp. flour, beef stock, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Cook until thick. Place all in a crock pot and cook 6 to 7 hours on low. Add sour cream and serve over rice or noodles.
