This is a late 1930's Lister 8hp(1200rpms) single cylinder 4-cycle diesel, manufactured in England
History- The Lister was used by railroad companies for generators and refridgeration. Purchased from another collector in very poor condition.
Restoration- Engine was completely wore out.Formed to whittworth measurement which made parts replacement quite a challenge. Welded cracked head, grinded valves, replaced cylinder, rings and seats, repaired injector. Cart is made of 3" channel iron with cedar wood. Low cart design is to compensate for an extremely heavy and unstable engine.Restored to original paint color.
