A Corvair is a car that was built from 1960 to 1969. It was one of the first American cars with a rear engine (I don't know where they got this idea. Couldn't have been from Volkswagon or Porsche, could it?) It also had four wheel independent suspension, which was rare for cars of that era. The engine was placed over the rear wheels, which gave it great traction in the snow.
