The Collector Mod

The stock collector pipe on a Camaro Z28 is very restrictive. The driver side pipe entering

the collector is squished severely (Figure 3), then joined with the passenger side pipe. At

the joint the collector pipe is crimped (Figures 1 & 2), which restricts the flow even more.

The collector mod involved removing the stock collector, expanding the driver side pipe

and  making it round to allow maximum flow and welding a Flowmaster collector in place

of the stock collector. Here are some pictures of the finished product.
