Old Dodge Pics

This gallery not only includes pictures of several trucks, but a little bit of info on each one. I still have plenty of room here, so if you want your truck up here for all to see, send in a picture!

My 1949 B-1-B

Of course, mine had to come first!  This truck sat in  Hells Canyon, Idaho for 12 years before I got it. The previous owner was able to start it after all those years, and it ran perfectly. It is 98% original and is a restoration in progress, as well as being a daily driver. Currently, it has 54,000 miles on the original motor. Future plans include new rubber around the windows and new paint.

This interesting truck comes from Mario Sbrana  in Australia. Note that it has a Pilot-House era cab, hood, fenders, and nose, yet has Functional-Design era trim and grille in addition to a single piece windshield. Even though it is a '54, it has a '50 dashboard with the steering column coming through, instead of under it.  It is my understanding that this is a special export model made from leftover stock for shipment to places such as Australia. Notice also the right-hand drive.

This fantastic 1950 fire truck is owned and operated by the Riverside County Fire Department in Southern California. It was restored in 1996 at the Oak Glen Conservation Camp Repair Facility, and serves at firefighter recruitment, fire prevention education, and public outreach programs. Visit their fire apparatus restoration page to see this and other projects, or the Riverside Co. Fire website at www.rcvfire.org.
