Many third world
countries rely on motorcycles for their primary source of transportation.
With this in mind, I designed a small commuter vehicle which utilizes motorcycle
parts and mechanisms. This car could be built by motorcycle firms
for these countries as a way of providing inexpensive transportation for
more than just one or two people. Four independent swing-arms support
the wheels, while a dual-chain mechanism drives the rear wheels.
The overall aesthetic approach is a balance between mechanical details
and sculptural body forms. The finished product reads a lot like
an insect. For a while, it went by the code name "ladybug."
