The BombUnfortunately I have to admit that this page is... arrrgh! ... 'under construction'. At the moment it provides a convenient place to put miscellaneous, unsorted pictures. Here's one of the blue&green (should never be seen) bomb at the moment - more or less. Boot was loaded down with luggage so the front was too high. The body is slowly getting prepared for a professional painting... And don't ask which colour it should be... refer instead to 'Bodywork'.

Geez Wayne... what a mess! Here was the triumphant moment of removing the engine/manual gearbox, the last day of last year. It took far less time than expected because we dropped it out from underneath.

The Kiwi methodAnd here is the even better moment of installing the rebuilt engine/automatic transmission - working it up in height to match the body, then dropping the body slightly to facilitate attaching the four engine mounts. As you can see, Eddie (back), Stuart and myself were pretty delighted... note the use of wood blocks and the car's own jack, since the proper jacks and stands were supporting the body (for safety.) Eddie picked up one gash on his thigh when it fell off the blocks while he was standing in the engine bay. After arranging blocks on each side rather than in the centre, safety was improved. Thanks go to Eddie and Stuart for making the engine replacement in two hours a possibility!

Here are a couple of my other friends leaving, after providing advice, financial backing, rationalisation and occasional employment, not to mention the generous loan of cellphones, power tools and trailers etc. Thanks James and Nichola!

Hatchback spaceHere's the Uno providing room for another engine - the honed block, rebuilt cylinder head and new rings are all visible here. Exactly twice the size of the motive power at the other end of the car.

Testing - 1, 2, <yawn>Sometime fairly late in the fray I was fitting various interior fittings, speakers etc. assisted by another friend... working on outside trim, rear view mirror etc. I noticed things were fairly quiet inside the car, not a lot of working-sounds at all, in fact... obviously this was rear-seat testing at its best. Thanks Robert!
