Name: El Manalo (manalo@platinum.com)
Location: Elmwood Park, Illinois (near Chicago)

Info about Truck:
1996 SR5 V6 4Runner - Fully welded Manik Grill and Brush Guard, Hella 4000 Halogen lights with 130W bulbs/Eurobeam pattern with European Daytime Running Lamp option, Hella 550FF foglights. Front turn signals have been modified to use 1157 lights instead of 1156 so that they glow when parking lamps are on and blink when a turn signal is used. Toyota Wind deflector. Smittybuilt side nerf bars - drilled the brackets, added aluminum stripts to hold heavy rubber mats on the side to give me a 'running board' type of protection so road gunk does not spray up on the sides. I used a ball and slightly longer than usual hitch on the back to discourage tailgaters. Husky front and rear mats and a weathertech cargo mat. Performance products seat covers. Uniden CB/Weather radio. Factory CD player/6speaker radio. Window tints around the rear windows. I'll be doing suspension lifts in the future (need to learn from the veterans what's good and what's not). My friends have nicknamed this El's urban assault vehicle. :)
OTHER VEHICLE:
1977 Celica GT Coupe 5Speed - Elmwood Park, Illinois near Chicago 18RG Engine, DOHC, 10:1 compression - we chose this because it's the highest compressin you can use while still being able to use just 93 octane 'premium' gas, dual 44mm sidedraft Mikuni carbs, oil cooler, oversized radiator, it uses a 1980 Pickup truck 20R 4 wheel drive clutch and pressure plate for the extra horsepower and torque the engine creates, 1978 Celica Cluth Bearings - both pilot and throwout, stock flywheel, supsension modified for roadracing - Bilstein shocks, Suspensin Techniques sway bars and springs). My car originally had the good old RELIABLE 20R. Added a front air dam/rear spoiler, Formuling 13" steering wheel, Formuling bucket racing seat, Simpson 5 point harness, battery mounted in the back for better balance.

Stock drivetrain outside of the Jacobs wires and Platinum plugs. Looking forward to more mods in the future (exhaust? chip? K&N?). 32x11.5x15 BFG All-Terrain T/A's on American Racing Wheels, with about a 1.25" T-Bar crank in the front and Performance Products Progressive springs in the rear. Hella 550's (in the garage currently) will go in the lower grill soon. I hadn't heard about the diff breather issue when that pic above was taken... might be a good time to take a look at that, eh? Great truck on and off road - looking to make a little more power though. Any success stories would be great.
