Comments: First addicted to Uno Turbo's at 16. I started off going out in my broters mates Turbo maybe once a week, but it didn't take long before I needed to get my turbo injected fix up to five times a week. This progressed to an almost ritualistic nightly thrashing of the beastly 1.4 until some scrote(s)helped themselves to a test drive and left it to Greater Manchester police to inform him that his Turbo had managed to entwine itself into the back of an Orion (well at least something productive came of this partnership!) this addiction is driving me crazy, I'll contact you again in a few months when ive got my own Turbo. Comments: Onyx firecat whats that doing in a fiat uno website,well the firecat is kitcar available in the UK using fiat uno running gear.So why run around in rust bucket [Italian anti-corrosion spec.not exactly the best] when you can fly around in a 2 seater fireca .Mine is a 1301 mk1 with a mk2 gearbox,turbo boost 1bar,jetex induction air filter,exhaust only a cherry bomb.Weight approx.660kg[excellent power to weight ratio]and it goes like a rocket and handles like a dream.So if anyone has a good mechanical uno wit the backside falling out of it I would not hesitate to recommend an ONYX FIRECAT.

Comments: Nice site, I enjoy reading it every now and again, some useful hints ! Mine is a 1985 1301cc rather well used car, currently with numerous OMP parts (as follows) : 6-point rollcage, exhaust (Grp A - no silencers), front brake discs and strut braces (fr an rr). Otherwise the normal K&N filter, Tar.ox rear discs, Sparco 4pt harnesses, 14" wheels (ex Lancia), FSE fuel pressure regulator, hybrid IHI turbo (running standard boost at the moment), bare interior (no trim, rear seats etc...) - as you might have gu ssed, just got to add two seats and a fire extinguisher to compete .... one day ! I have also been playing with a water cooling system for the intercooler (half an Escort Cosworth system I 'obtained' from Boreham when I used to work for Ford. Currently sp nding a few months in Italy with my new employer (FIAT) - some very nice machinery on the roads down here ! Keep the page going, Roland.

Comments: I've had my turbo now for nearly six months and have nearly finished the mods for it. When it is finished it will be the best looking Uno you'll ever see! At the moment I have added Spax adjustable shocks, a Janspeed exhaust, K&N induction kit, and the wide arch bodykit. It has been resprayed black and the wheels have been spaced out by 2 1/2 inches, and sprayed white. Overall the car is around 5 inches wid r and 35mm lower and looks FAT!

Comments: My Uno is ex Julian Cann's but has now been fitted with a new hybrid turbo for lower lag, limited slip differential, clser ratio gearbox, rollcage, stripped out interior, avon race tyres, front antiroll bar and various other bits and bobs which help it ou accelerate a porsche carrera 4 at our local sprints and whips various modded 180bhp + lotus elises. The car is used for hillclimbing (broke the records for the class), sprinting (again new record) and eventually tarmac rallies. I can never understand people who continue to modify their cars and never put them on the limit and just do it for show.
