Installation Instructions For Your New Pro-Turbo Turbocharger
Congradulations on the purchase of your new Pro-Turbo upgraded turbocharger. The following is a detailed procedure which will help you to exploit maximum performance from your new Pro-Turbo upgraded turbocharger. We look forward to serving all of your turbocharger needs in the future.
(1) Locate your vehicle
Since its been three to nine months since your car has been without its turbo, you'll need to locate your vehicle. Check your garage or the local performance shop which order the turbocharger upgrade.
(2) Unpack the turbocharger
Take care when unpacking the turbocharger as to not damage the unit. Remember to inspect the unit. UPS damages over 78-percent of the units shipped from Pro-Turbo. Check for cracks in your new exhaust housing, bent turbine blades, missing turbine blades, stripped fittings in the center section, and blade to housing contact at the compressor. If any of these conditions are present, please send the turbocharger back to Pro-Turbo. We will promptly send a new unit to you in four to six months.
(3) Installation
Install the Pro-Turbo upgrade in the same place where your stock turbo was before. In the new compressor housing interferes with the engine block, motor mount, power steering housing, A/C compressor, wiring harness, or ABS system, take the necessary steps to remove or hack away at the interfering device.
(4) Break-In
Up to ninety percent (90%) of all turbocharger failures are the direct result of improper installation. If your turbo doesn't function properly, it is your fault. We are not in the business of dealing with petty complaints. If the turbo seems to work, but you have excessive smoke from the exhaust, then think of it as a "no-cost" smokescreen and learn to live with it much the same way that James Bond did.
(5) Performance Evaluation
If you only changed to a Pro-Turbo turbocharger upgrade and haven't noticed a performance increase, check the following:
a. Did you remember to remove at least 200 pounds from the vehicle ?
b. Did you properly install the nitrous system ?
c. Did you install a bigger engine ?
d. Are you running twice as much boost as before ?
You must answer "yes" to all the above questions to realize a performance increase with a Pro-Turbo turbocharger.
In case you have not noticed (it would not surprise me), this is meant as a satire produced wholly from detailed accounts of Chris' past customers.
