106. Allergic To Golf

Holli is one of the local guest players in a golf tournament sponsored by a large drug company. When members of the board start dropping dead on the course, Holli must determine how they are being murdered while Mack seeks the culprit. She learns that all the people on the dais at the opening banquet have been given an initial dose of a powerful synthetic allergen. The dose is harmless, but a second will trigger nearly instant death due to anaphylactic shock. So, all the prominent players, including Holli herself, are walking toxic time bombs. She and Mack track down the villain, the company's top medicinal officer, carrying out a personal vendetta against board members who arranged the death of his one true love. She had discovered a company cover-up invloving one of their drugs with terrible long-term side effects. The medical officer has been working two years to develop this method of revenge.
