Laura hasn't slept at home in a month, Luke, also EXHAUSTED, tells Laura to get the hell out of the hospital and go home to sleep. She reluctantly agrees but will come immediately back to Lulu.
Laura has to go see Stefan to save her daughter's life. Bobbie tells Laura she can't believe how kind Laura is to not think differently of her. "Stop it, please Bobbie...I can't deal with this now." Laura comforts Bobbie, asks Bobbie to watch Lulu. Laura is the only one who remembers it's Bobbie's birthday. July 5th...
On July 8th, 1996, Laura sees Stefan for the first time. A former lover, a former man she was in love with, Stavros Cassadine's brother. He is completely different, he hates her, he knows things, he wants to punish her. She's terrified when he proves to her he has watched her for sixteen years because he recites Stavros's last words (when he died the first time) and tells Laura events that happened in her life to show her he has been with her the whole time...yikes!
Remembers Stavros's last words as he died clutching her arm to tell her it will never be over...(1983)
Now realizing the man she had loved had been in the room with her while the brother he hated and the husband she despised died promising nothing but hell for her and seemed to now be having the perfect opportunity to make that true, flips her out. She had banned thoughts of Stavros from her mind for so long that hearing the man she had trusted more than anyone else in her life recite them to her freaks her out.
"Do you begin to feel it now, Lasha?" (Meaning, the power of the Cassadines to know her every move.) Lasha in the Greek translation of "Laura", and is what Stavros "named" Laura to claim her as his, Lasha Cassadine.
"How can you know that? No one else was there..."
He taunts her, repeating every step she's taken since the sixteen years they've seen each other. The power of a Cassadine...never letting her be...
She's too stunned to believe this man could be tormenting her the way Helena and Stavros had after they had been in love though never spoken the words.
She can't understand why he's acting this way...he was the one who loved her...
Now Laura turns the shoe on the other foot and uses her own "Cassadineness" to give him a zinger. Turning around and doing what she knows Stefan hates most, she compares him to his brother. "Stavros would never have done this to me." Stefan sighs, believing he still has her exactly where he wants her. "Well he may have been dazzled by you but I never was." She glares with fiery eyes. "Think back."
They fight quite a bit, she shouts at him for arguing with her about God knows what when her daughter is dying! The downfall ending to this in which Laura lost was wearing heels. She couldn't chase him up the stairs before he locked her away from going further into Spoon Island. WOMEN, wear TENNIS SHOES!
Bobbie asks Laura if the doner that saved Lulu's life was her daughter! Laura's heart breaks because it was her son who saved Lulu and she has to let Bobbie down. They haven't found Bobbie's daughter. (Bobbie's daughter at this time was doing serious shag tag with her mother's husband, charming child)
Bobbie is still kind enough to be thrilled Laura's daughter will live. She comforts Laura that Laura didn't have to watch her daughter die like Bobbie did.
Laura's relieved too, but feels guilty for Bobbie's loss, and is afraid of the Cassadine payback she know she will have to give.
Bobbie pressures Laura to find out who the doner is so that Bobbie can know if it's her daughter. Laura tries to sound calm but knows if Bobbie does this, they will find out it's Laura's son, and Stefan will do something terrible, not to mention Helena. Laura wants to see what the punishment is before she tells everyone and blows everything to hell.
Laura only minutes ago saw her son for the first time since he was a baby. She felt him before she even turned around to see him. She looked at him, called out his name. Laura KNEW her son. Nikolas, angry that his mother abandoned him and raised by Stefan to believe Laura never loved him, tells her off and walks out the door before Laura can even comprehend what happened. She tries to go after him but he escapes. Luke is losing it, he's afraid to lose Laura, but Bobbie stands by Laura.
Bobbie stood by Laura from the beginning, telling Luke never to judge Laura for having another man's child or keeping it a secret. Laura didn't know Luke told Bobbie. "Luke told me about your son...and who fathered him." Laura looks at Bobbie thinking Bobbie will hate her but instead Bobbie's face lights up and says, "That handsome boy in the corridor?" (I love you Bobbie) Laura sighs with relief and says, "Yeah."
"Aw honey, I'm so sorry." Bobbie pulls Laura in for a hug, knowing how much it kills Laura to have seen her son and not have him back.
"He was so close...he was right there." Bobbie holds her tighter, then decides to distract Laura the best way she knows how. Let Laura see her daughter who is now going to survive! "Hey, you wanna go inside and hug your daughter?"
Bobbie takes Laura into see Lesley Lu...
These two twins that played Lesley Lu from 94-01, were the most amazing babies. They reached for EVERYONE! Genie always had these two little girls reach to her.
Laura's daughter will live, Laura's daughter loves her...
Luke comes in..."Hi Daddy," Laura says. Goodness, this little girl actress who's not even two years old waves to Tony Geary on cue! LOL!
Lulu reaches for Daddy too.
Luke loves Lulu to death...
Laura loves Luke so much...
Laura's told Luke she had Stavros's Cassadine's child, she still hasn't seen her son. Luke still loves her but is stunned and afraid for her.
