With Stefan gone from Laura's life, she hopes to reunite with Luke and is confused by his mixed signals, but does finally try to accept he wants Felicia. She waited two years for Luke to come home and when he didn't, she fell in love with Stefan, now that Stefan's gone, Luke has found Felicia. Lucky has just blown off his mother and Luke defended Laura to Lucky. Laura is grateful.
Laura arrives back from North Carolina just in time for Felicia to testify that the night Stefan died, she was sleeping with Luke. This scene is Luke's beautiful reaction when he first sees Laura. He loves her and wants her there, but knows how much this will hurt her.
Laura's had enough. She was faithful to Luke for two years, two years of waiting for him to come home but she was responsible for their marriage failing because 18 years ago she'd slept with a Cassadine, but it's just fine for Luke to sleep with Felicia and still call their marriage falling apart HER lies. She's finally had enough! GO GIRL!
Scotty Baldwin comes by to deliver Laura's divorce papers to him. She's had enough, she's divorcing him, throwing out all his belongings, buying her own business and redecorating her house! But this Luke/Scotty moment is another classic.
Luke and Laura divorce on their 19th Anniversary. Laura pulled through signing them without crying, but then Luke had to show up. She almost started to cry, but instead the anger kicked in and she played it beautifully.
Laura is trying to grow up and get out of being in danger every five minutes and Luke will NOT meet her half way with their family. A purely touching line stuns Laura until Luke automatically brings up their separation, but watch this, it's good.
Now when Laura needs to throw a Deception Party and SAVE Luke's butt, he won't let her. His pride will not handle letting his ex-wife bail him out financially. She tries everything from being sweet and agreeing to being angry and firm to being a listener and then explaining. They even share a tender moment where he touches her face and tells her how much he once loved her. But will he give in? NO! So she plays the only trick that will EVER make Luke do anything she wants.
One of my favorite days of L&L ever, is when Laura and Luke both show up to bail Bobbie Spencer and Scotty Baldwin out of prison! Each of these clips are classically funny!
