Gannetguin

By Femme Milo

"These large seal-like birds decended from the Northern Gannet are inspired by the "Gannetwhales" from "The Future is Wild" and I've added it into my story when Milo was hunting for meat across the Sub-arctic Atlantean Tundra. He encounted a colony of these giant flightless birds that come ashore to lay their eggs. If you look closer, you can see an egg under one of the Gannetguin's flippers. A colony has mostly breeding females, and lesser males that can't mate, and a large dominant male called a "Beachmaster" who can mate and protect his harem from Predators. When they feel threatened by predators such as Milo, they produce a burning, noxious vomit of partically digested fish at the attacker."
