This is a Brand New Page built on the date of, 01-05-2003, yes Cinco De Mayo Celebration time. My Handle is "LoneStar", Look for me when Skip is running Or look for me on LSB channel 38. My call sign is 2TX028. My radio is a Ranger 2950. I absolutely LOVE listening/Talking on CB's. When I travel, you will never see me without a CB. That is a fact. It is good to have a CB when Traveling. I can get a Bear check for MILES. I have not gotten a ticket for speeding due to my CB. It is better than a Radar Detector. I use both, but my CB keeps me out of trouble. If you pass anywhere in North TX, Tune your Radio to Channel 35 on AM, and call out for me. Or if you have a Big Radio, turn to Frequency 27.6050, You can find me there. Break Channel!!

UPDATE: GOOD NEWS SADDAM HUSSEIN HAS BEEN CAPTURED!

Saddam Hussein was found hiding in a hidden hole near a farmhouse In his Home town of Tikrit, and was captured without firing a shot. Even though he had a gun, he did not dare fire a shot. Take a look at his beard, You can tell, he had no time to shave, he was on the RUN!,, Chickens like him RUN RUN RUN, but you will be caught.

I pray for Our Country, I pray the people who lost their lives in the war in IRAQ (Operation IRAQ Freedom). We have WON this war, and in NO time. Only, now that we pulled out most of our Troops, we are loosing lives there. I hope and pray this stops. The U S A ROCKS! What I wish in my heart is for ALL men/women to just Get Along, then we would not have what we have today. But with countries wanting to have "THE POWER", it will never stop.

I finally have a picture of my Ranger. It is currently in the house, for now. I don't like to keep it in my Mobile, in fear of someone taking it. This radio is a very good radio. I am studying for my HAM Liscence, once complete, I will be using the channels available to maximize the use. I purcased the radio from a good friend of mine. I have had it worked on a few times, my favorite person to work on it is called the Washington Rabbit located in Louisiana. If you ever travel that way, call out for him, when traveling on I 49 near Washington Louisiana. You will not have trouble finding his place. He has a Really good shop, and knows his stuff when working on CB's. If you need anything such as Toys etc, or installation of a new Radio, call out for him, on channel 19, and he will direct you to his location.

Update:

I now have my Ranger Radio inside of my house as a base radio. I recently purchsaed a Power Supply, I am currently using an Antron 99, which is working really well, espcially on LSB channel 38. I LOVE talking on LSB, call out for me sometime, My Call Sign # 2TX028.

On the picture above, I was talking on Channel 35, as you can tell. I also talk on frequency 27.6050 at times. Below is a picture of the same radio , but much clearer. I absolutely LOVE using that Radio, it is really good, and works Great. One thing I like about the Mic is the channel up and down. I am so used to it while driving. It once stopped working, and let me tell you, I just could not take it. I then drove toward Weatherford TX, where there is my favorite CB Shop, I had it repaired there.

Below are pictures of my two other CB's. The Cobra 25 on top, was my first REAL GOOD radio. It has a kit of Upper channels, works Great. Below, is the Cobra 29 LTD. It has one kit of Upper channels, and Another kit of lower channels. So it has a total of 120 channels. The Cobra 25 has 80 Total. You can clearly see the switches mounted on the side of the radios. On the 25, it is a switch you simply flip UP, for the Upper channels, and on the 29, it is a turning knob, which, Center is Standard 40, for the upper channels, of course, you turn up, and down for Lowers.

Below is a second picture of the Cobra's. The Cobra 29 belongs to my wife, she uses it in our Truck.

The Base Radio below is my home base. It is not an expensive radio, but it does the job for now. I am going to get a MUCH better radio in the future. But for now, this radio does fine. I am looking to add channels to it. It is a Midland International Model: 76-858. Currently it is not connected as of yet, due to us moving into a new home. I am going to be putting it back up in a few days. My antenna is an Amtron 99. It should work fine. I can hardly wait to hear some Skip.

Below is my son's Home Base CB. It is a Lynx-23 Pearson-Simpson. His handle is "Little boy Blue". He loves talking on the CB. Once I setup the Radio in his room, he became possesive, showing he is going to be attached for now. I wish my dad had turned me onto a CB when I was young. For now, Little Boy Blue will use this 23 channel radio. In the future, he will change to a better radio, probably my Midland once I find another base. Little boy Blue is also a future Body Builder. Little Boy Blue is using a 8- 1/2 Foot Steel whip, for his Antenna. He can get out better now. He was using a different setup as you can tell in the picture, which only got out a couple of miles. For now, I have his antenna up, but is not that high. his antenna needs to be much higher in the air. It will be one day soon.

Equipment I am interested in. First off, at this point, I don't have a JOB. If anyone out in this world has a 40 channel base radio, that they are not using, and is collecting dust. If you want to donate it to me, I would appreciate it. I am so low on money, I can hardly afford to pay attention!, LOL. I truely need a base radio, so I can communicate with my friends in my area. There are a few, that are Die Hard CB Fans... I hope to find someone that can part with a Base, they are not using.. Please consider me.. I am handicap and life is getting hard. I no longer can sit out side trying to talk on my Mobile Radio.. I have a base showing on this web site, which just died on me, and to repair it cost, like more than it is worth. If you can, Please consider donating to me,, I would appreciate it.. If you want to part with a Base 40 Channel Radio, send me email ---> Juicer28@Yahoo.com. I would again Appreciate it. Thanks in Advance.,,

Update

I made it!, I am a HAM As of a few minutes ago. I read the book by Gordon West, (My friend Ray let me borrow it) and studied on the web site of, www.qrz.org. Both enabled me to pass my test. I don't know my Call sign as of yet, but I will get it on the web site in a few days, and once I do, I will be keying up for the first time. It is going to be exitieing to have my radio setup in my car. My Friend Ray, attempted to get me into HAM a year or so ago. Or more. At the time, I was having a really hard time at home with my EX, Well, this year, he invited me to a HAM Fest. On that day we took off very early in the morning, and I came home with the new manual by Gordon West, a new book, made TONS better than the other one. And only a few weeks later, I am a HAM. WOW!,, Thanks Ray, you are a Very Good Friend bud,, No Doubt. Scott K5??? Ray came up with K5JUC, which woujld not be bad, I might have it changed, if I don't like it. I will then have a Vanity Call Sign.. Thanks Ray! Juice

My HAM Radio, it is an Alinco DR-605T radio. I is a Dual Band radio, 2 meters and 70 meters, It is a very good radio.

This is my other radio, I use it in my home for a base Radio. Icom IC-2000, it is another very good radio. No doubt

Surf to this site to take a HAM Test. I used the Gordon West Technician Book, and this QRZ.ORG website to take and pass my test.
