One of my
hobbies is genealogy. I've put together
a fair number of links (and pages) on researching a family history
In July,
2000 I took over as editor of The
Avery Advocate, a (roughly) quarterly newsletter dealing with the
history of the AVERY family.
There is
an interesting distributed processing project going on right now called
SETI@home (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence at home) Right now
there are over 2.2 million computers analyzing the signals from one of
the radio telescopes. You can find out more about the project at
In case you
are interested, I attend Lakewood
United Methodist Church. My family is very active in this church,
serving on various committees and involved with a variety of church groups.

I also tend to use the AltaVista search engine a lot. With a little practice, the Advanced Mode can get you there quicker.
Links to other interesting sites on the Web
In RL (Reality Land) I am a programmer for Moen,
Inc. Moen is one of the world's largest, and finest, manufacturer of
faucets. I work on the RIMS (Robocom
Inventory Management System) team, doing all sorts of neat things connecting
the mainframe order system with the conveyors in the warehouses to insure
product is shipped on time and accurately. I have recently (early 2000)
become involved with Moen's eBusiness projects using Allaire's ColdFusion
web development products.
The Myers
Briggs Personality Indicator - I have been informally ranked as an
INTP (Introverted iNtuitive
Thinking
Perceiver).
There is a write-up
or two on the differing
personality types. I've made some INTP cyberfriends,
some of which have web pages. Probably the most famous INTP is Albert
Einstein (Pictured above)
I have a
page of geeky links, mostly dealing with computers.
Ahhh - The memories of
(Ask me about it). In 2000 CP opened
Millennium
Force, breaking 10 world records. The day that I was there the ride
was closed due to weather, but just looking at it you can tell it is AWESOME!!
