We retired sixteen years ago to live in the town of Goderich, Ontario - "The Prettiest Town in Canada".
Goderich is the County town of Huron County on Ontario's West Coast.
"We" are We have been married 52 years this year.
Five years ago we sold our house and moved into a delightful apartment. Actually, it's more like a cottage - or perhaps the best way to describe it is a one story town house. It's the end one in a row of three and has its own patio area. There are no steps into it and no steps inside. It's the ideal place for a couple who are advancing in age and decreasing in the ability or the desire to do heavy house maintenance and gardening.
Now that he is retired, Phil continues to do Sunday Supply work at a number of local churches, although on a limited basis these days.
He continues his long interest in photography.
Jean has retired from a three-career working life -
* as a teacher
* as a homemaker and mother to our four children
* as a volunteer administrator, most recently with the Anglican Diocese of Toronto
Jean is also active in volunteer activities in the community.
She is Past President of the Hospital Auxiliary of the Alexander Marine and General Hospital.
Phil and Jean also deliver Meals on Wheels, and serve as volunteer drivers for Town and Country Support Services and the Mid Western Adult Day Centre.
