Some of the folks in our local bluegrass community didn't cotton well to our millenium name change from GRASS ROOTS to GRASS ROUTES (By-the-way, pronounced the same, not rowts) Well folks, the guys above are THE GRASS ROOTS. Can you imagine the surprise when these tye-dye tee-shirt wearin' fans, so poor--that a large group of them had to stand around in a circle sharin' the same cigarette, showed up to our gigs expecting to hear "Midnight Confession" and instead were treated to "The Old Home Place"? Well, we just couldn't take it any longer (and we felt a bit qweezy after inhaling all that second hand smoke, kept gettin' real hungry and even started comtemplating playing all new grass) So, we made a joint decision, to change the spelling for the new millenium. Now lots of folks say, "Grass Rowts" but I never heard anyone say "get your kicks, on ROWT 66" so what's all the pronunciation hoopla? It's still GRASS R-OOW-TS only spelled ROUTES, ok? So go back to the home page and click on that CDBABY.com address (or the link below) and get a copy of our CD! I'm sick of storing these puppies in my living room. What are ya waitin' for!!!! , :-) |
