How often should strings and cables be replaced?
This depends on how much shooting you do. If you shoot 3-4 times a week and also a winter league, then you should change your string and cable once a year. We recommend doing this about 2 months before the hunting season.

Can I use a flat nock crossbow arrow on my Parker crossbow?
Absolutely not! Your Parker crossbow was designed to use half moon nocks only! Using any other type of nock is not only dangerous, it will void your lifetime warranty.

Should I lubricate the rails on my Parker crossbow?
No. Lubricating the rails on any Parker crossbow is not required. The rails Parker uses are
extremely low friction teflon based rails.

What type of broadheads should I use with my Excalibur crossbow?
We recommend 150 grain Excalibur Boltcutter broadheads for the ultimate in accuracy and simplicity. We also recommend the Excalibur X-ACT mechanical style broadhead in 100 grain for those who prefer speed but not willing to sacrifice accuracy.

Can I leave my crossbow cocked all day
It is not a problem to leave your crossbow cocked for an entire day, this is one of the many benefits of a Recurve Limb System. Please uncock your crossbow overnight or between hunts for safety.

Can I use carbon arrows on my Excalibur?
Carbon arrows come in an assortment of weights, and as long as the total mass weight is above the our minimum recommendation for your model (350 grains) and the outside diameter is large enough (.300") they shoot well. Are they worth the extra money? Maybe...maybe not, they stay straighter and penetrate slightly better, but they cost 1.5 to 2 times as much as aluminum.
