A. Mack Sawyer with his years of experience in environmental portraiture will truly capture that special moment for you as he has done with hundreds of coastal vacationers in the past.

A. Mack first began working in the field of photography in the Vietnam War, after serving in the U.S. Army as a photographer/illustrator. He returned home to teach photography in the community college system. With a personal interest in serving the public with his creative portraiture, Mack opened his main studio in 1980 in Elizabeth City, where he works today. His list of photographing people of distinction include N.C. State Governor, James B. Hunt; T.V. news anchorman, Walter Cronkite; Miss Universe 1984-85; actor Martin Sheen and musician Chet Atkins. Mack has won many awards on state level and beyond. His portraits of families and children have given him a reputation most deserving.
