THE ORIGIN OF CABLE

Born to Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor, (a clone of Jean Grey), a young Nate Summers was infected with a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse. Unable to fight the virus as a young boy, Nate was taken two thousand years into the future by a future sisterhood known as The Askani in order to cure him, and train him to defeat Apocalypse.

Thanks to the Askani technology, Scott and Jean Summers were pulled to the future after their wedding to raise Nate from infancy to adolescence. Here they took the names of Slym and Redd Dayspring, and together they were known as,
The Dayspring Unit.

Just before Scott and Jean's arrival, the Askani had created a clone of Nate, who was captured by Apocalypse, who thought he has the real Nathan Summers.

As Nate grew to be a teen, he learned to telekinetically control the techno-organic virus growing inside him, thanks to his parents' help. During his struggles, however, the virus destroyed and took over his left arm and other portions of his body, which now appear almost robotic.
(There has been much controversy and discussion on this subject. Some believe, and Cable himself has led others to believe, that his left arm and leg are totally bionic. While statements have been made to various friends, Moira McTaggert and Hank McCoy among them that the metalic look of his left arm and leg are indeed his own flesh and blood organs that have been transmuted to this form by the virus. Cable has shown, on occasion, the ability to totally control his T.O. flesh and form various different tools such as a computer interface a lockpick and even the ability to make it appear as normal flesh. It has also been heavely hinted that Cable's T.O. virus may help lead to a cure for the legacy virus another virus which came from the future time of Apocalypse's rule.)
Together with his parents, Nate launched an assault on Apocalypse and Nates own clone, who now called himself Stryfe. The combined might of Nate and the others defeated both villains.

Upon the downfall of the tyrant, Scott and Jean, there known as Slym and Redd Dayspring, were immediately pulled back to the present. From that point on Cable became an outlaw and began learning under the remaining members of the Askani' Clan, becoming their Chosen One, the Askani'Son. It is also known that he eventually married a woman, Aliya,

...who went by the adopted name of Jenskot, and one can only assume that they adopted or Jenskot already had a boy by the name of Tyler, later known as Genesis (This too is a point of contention for many seeing as Cable has at different times called Tyler his son, their son, and most of the time Jenskot's son, which would lead one to believe, that though he was Jenskot's son, he was not, in fact, Cable's actual son. The full truth will not be known, until Cable is ready to speak it). Tyler would later, tragically be turned towards a darkened path.

Cable's mission for quite some time was to battle the canaanite forces of his own shattered reflection, Stryfe. This mission would soon be carried over into our century, as Stryfe utilized the teleporting android known as Zero to carry out his mad schemes in our own era. Cable followed him through time and created two sets of groups to deal with him. The first were a band of mercenaries and mutants known as The Six Pack, and the second crew were the remnants of the last of
The New Mutants whom he renamed X-Force

Now we continue Cable's history, including his first meeting with Moira MacTaggert and Professor Xavier with
