It was getting Dark and Pidgeot was squaking tiredly. "Hmm, lets find an area to rest, how about down there? " Mike asked Pidgeot. " Pidgeot! " sqauked and landed near a flat area with a tree stump in the center. "Thanks Pidgeot." Mike said. Mike looked at his Mr. Mime watch. "Hm..10:30, well I'll get the sleeping bags and blankets out." Mike said. He released Pikachu and Ditto from there Poke-balls. " Okay Fellas, here are your beds. " Mike said. " Ditto!" replied ditto. Pidgeot ate a few bugs then nustled up under the blankets.

  In the morning, Mike and Ditto were the only ones awake. "Hey Pikachu, Pidgeot, Wake up." Mike whispered. He whipped out his Blue pokedex to see if anything was wrong. "When a pokemon is asleep, it can only be awakened either on its own, by Silph Co's awakening product, or by the Legendary pokeflute." answered the poke-dex. Suddenly mike saw a strange figure. "Wow! a pokemon!" Mike yelled. Mike stood by a nearby pond. " Squirtle, a water pokemon. This pokemon is second in ranking to be chosen by the beginning trainer. Advantages: Try using a Grass or Electric Pokemon. " chimed the poke-dex. " Wow a water pokemon! The guys back in Cerulean will love me after catching a water, too bad Pikachu is still asleep, okay, Ditto go!" yelled Mike. " Squirtle? " replied the Squirtle. "Ditto! transform!", "Ditto!", soon Mike's Ditto was turned into a Squirtle! Squirtle wasted no time and Blasted Ditto with bubbles. "Okay Ditto, Tackle Attack!" , Ditto rammed into Squirtle knocking him face first on the ground. "Poke-ball go!" yelled mike as he tossed a Vacant Poke-ball at Squirtle. While Squirtle was trying to break free, Mike thought that if he caught Squirtle, this would be the first Poke-mon he'd ever caught. After about 5 shakes, the Poke-ball stood still. " I caught a pokemon..I caught a Pokemon! ALright!! Way to go Ditto! " Mike praised. "Ditto!" Squealed his Pokemon. Mike returned Ditto to his Poke-ball and noticed Pallet town was just across this hill, excited Mike walked back to camp, Pikachu and Pidgeot were now awake. "Okay Pidgeot, thanks for the lift!" Mike waved. Pidgeot flew out of sight.

  Mike walked down the road to Pallet Town. When he got there, he was quickly lost and couldnt find professor oak. Mike noticed a woman up to her knees in grocerys and offered to help her. " Hello Ma'am, may i help you with your grocerys? " Mike offered. "Oh yes, Thank you, My name is Mrs. Ketchum." replied the woman. As they got to her house Mike helped put her grocerys in the cabinate. Mrs Ketchum made breakfast for both of them. " Are you a pokemon trainer? " Mrs Ketchum asked. " Yes Ma'am, I am from Cerulean City and my mom just let me start pokemon training. " mike answered. " Another Trainer went by a few minutes ago looking for Professor Oak also, My son went pokemon training awhile ago, hes about your age, Do you have any Pokemon? " mrs Ketchum asked. " Oh yes Ma'am, 3, Pikachu, Ditto, and Squirtle. " , " Really? My son started his Journey with a Pikachu, those Two are best friends. " Mrs ketchum replied. " Are you looking for professor Oak? " She asked. " Yes Mrs Ketchum, but i cant seem to find him, do you know where he is? " Mike asked. " Oh, hes down the main street, Huge Laboratory, you cant Miss it, ::giggles:: I always wanted to say that. " Mrs Ketchum laughed. "Okay, Thank you for the Breakfast and the directions Mrs Ketchum." Mike said. "No Problem, Safe Travels!". Mike smiled as Mrs Ketchum reminded him of his own Mother, and ran down the main road to see Professor Oak.

  As Mike reached Professor Oak, he ran in while Professor Oak was talking to a female trainer. " Professor Oak! " Mike yelled. " Huh? Why you! cant you see im talking to professor oak! " a young girl yelled at the top of her lungs. " Calm down Lora, Come in lad, Come in." Professor Oak greeted Mike. " Hello sir, I am from Cerulean City, my name is Michael Franklin. " Mike introduced himself. " Hello Michael, are you a Pokemon Trainer? " Professor Oak asked. " Oh yes sir, My mom is just letting me start. ". " Okay, well first you need a starting pokemon..", "Oh no thank you sir, I already have some, Pikachu, Ditto, and Squirtle.", " Ah well, now i can join you and Lora since were at the same speed now, You both will need a Poke-dex. ", " A Poke-what? " Lora Asked. " Oh, i Already have a Poke-dex. " Mike said. " Hm, well a Poke-dex is my Invention, Its an Encyclopedia on all the known Pokemon. " Professor Oak said. " I could have told you that " Mike said trying to impress Lora. " Be quiet Pipsqueak. " Lora snapped. " Pipsqueak! Why I'll battle you right now! " Mike said challenging Lora. " Well Lora, do you except his challenge? " Professor Oak asked. " Um.. i want to get My Poke-dex first.. Y'know so i'll be able to rub his face in the dirt. " Lora giggled. Mike sat there and Mumbled. " Aide, could you get a poke-dex out of the Back room? " Professor Oak asked his assistant. " There arent anymore..you gave the last one to the Ketchum boy. " The aide replied. " I did? Whoopsie. " " Aw man, so i dont get a Poke-dex? " Lora asked whining. " Nope im sorry, If i ever get another one in, I'll sent it to a Poke-mart Near your Location. " Professor Oak said. " Can we battle now? " Mike asked. " Your on! " Lora replied.

  The two stood outside in Professor Oaks Lab. " Each of you can use Two pokemon. " Professor Oak explained. " Choose your Pokemon! " Professor Oak told each of them. " I'll use my new Pokemon, Charmander Go! " Laura yelled releasing a Charmander from her Pokeball. " a Chargeswander? what? " Mike said. " Charmander, a Fire type Pokemon. The flame on its tail is Mythed to be its Life source. " Professor Oak explained. " Okay then, Pikachu go! " Mike yelled and the Pikachu besides its feet ran up infront of him. " Ah, a Pikachu, a pokemon of the Electric Type. " Professor oak added. " Okay, Battle! " . " Charmander! Scratch attack! " Lora yelled. " Char! " yelled the little Pokemon as it scratched Pikachu across the face. " Ah! okay Pikachu, Thundershock! " Mike commanded as his Pikachu shocked Charmander with a bolt of lightning. " ohno! Charmander Ember Attack! " Lora commanded as Charmander burned Pikachu with his tail. "Ohno! Pikachu! Return! " Mike yelled as Pikachu ran behind his leg. " Okay, I'll use my New Pokemon! Squirtle go! " Mike released his new Squirtle. " Squirtle, a water type Pokemon. " Professor Oak added in. " Good strategy Michael. " , " Huh? I used a Strategy?..cool! ". " Charmander! Ember attack! " Lora commanded as Charmander waves its firey tail on squirtle, Squirtle wasnt Affected. " Huh? Fire pokemon arent affective against Water Pokemon? " Lora asked Herself. " Squirtle! Bubble attack! " Mike told Squirtle, its bubbles seemed to have hurt Charmander badly. " Ohno! Charmander return! " Lora returned Charmander to his Poke-ball. " Okay, now I'll use my old friend Jigglypuff! " Lora said as she released Jigglypuff. " Jigglywhat? " Mike asked. " Jigglypuff, a rare pokemon, Known for its graceful voice. " Professor Oak added. " Jigglypuff! Sing ! " Lora commanded. Jigglypuff sang a pretty song and Pikachu and Squirtle started to go to sleep. " Ohno! Squirtle! " Mike yelled. " Finish him off Jigglypuff! Double-slap! " Lora commanded. Jigglypuff slapped Squirtle till he fainted. " I declare Lora the winner! " Professor oak yelled. Dissapointed Mike returned Squirtle to his Poke-ball.

  Later they sat down at Professor Oaks table and had a lunch of Hamburgers and Cupcakes, and Celery. " Thank you Professor Oak for that lovely meal. " Lora complemented. " Yeah..thanks.." Mike moaped. " I lost to a girl..." . " Dont worry Mike, her Jigglypuff was at a high experience level. " Professor Oak added. " yeah.. i guess.." Mike said. "Hey, i have a Great Idea, why dont you two Join each other in your Journey." Professor Oak suggested. " What!?!" Mike and Lora both screamed. " Well think about it, Lora could use your Pokedex, and you two could learn alot about Pokemon together, Not to mention you two make a great couple." Professor oak said. " Are you kidding? I cant have a girlfriend, my mom lives in Cerulean City she'd throw a fit! " Mike Joked. " Im not your girlfriend! " Lora yelled. " Seems like im wearing the pants then since i creamed you! " Lora snickered. " Okay thats enough, You two can rest in my guestroom for the night, then start your Journey tomorrow. " Professor Oak said. " Thats cool, im tired of Sleeping in a Sleeping bag, My pokemon could use a rest Also. " Mike said.

In the Morning the Two packed there bags, and headed for Viridian City. It seems Mike Franklin has a friend Lora Peterson to join him on his Pokemon Journey. Stay tuned.
