This is the spot where I review four shows each month. Older reviews have been archived under the month they went up, and by alphabetical order.
Reviews are on a scale of 1-5 cats, five being absolutely hilariously funny (or just really really good) while one is absolutely rotten.

Animated viewing...
"Sailor Moon," airing in scads of countries as we speak- Naoko Takeuchi really had a great idea when she began the Sailor Moon series. First on TV in 1992, this show has run in Germany, Japan, Canada, and most recently, the USA. Although DIC did a crummy job of editing it (in my humble opinion) I will recommend it anyway because I have also seen the German version, which is largely unedited except for dubbing and some tiny name changes. ***A traveling four and a half cats***
"Sophie & Virginie"- This cartoon, which ran on RTL2 (a German station) until August 1998, is about 2 girls who are trying to find their parents. THey live in an orphanage with their friends. I was only able to catch the last 20 episodes but they were well worth this ***Four and a half cats***
Classics...
"Great Expectations," the BBC version- Granted, I might not have watched if not for the star, Ioan Gruffudd (see August's Horatio Hornblower review) but once I did, I began to think, "Hey, the rest of the cast is great, too!" It's up for Best Miniseries (against HH, what a coincidence) and for good reason, too. 'Nuff said? ***An expectant five cats!!!***

"Unmentionables: A Brief History"- This documentary was on A&E (the same channel that brought us HH) in the Spring of 1999. This is a history of underwear! Yep, underwear, as in drawers, corsets, bras, briefs, and boxers, all of which were covered in this show. One would think there were racy undertones but guess what? There aren't. ***A brief five cats***
