WHO I AM

I am a mother
Of compassion and caring
Nurturing
Trying to steer in the right direction
Always I worry
For the wellbeing of my child
Whether he is ten or thirty
This is my nature
Don't mess with me and mine
For I am a mother

I am a child
Never outgrowing
The need for guidance
Or approval
Still crying out for mommy
When in pain
Or in doubt
I get lost in day dreams
Or even make believe
For I am a child

I am a friend
My door is always open
My shoulder is here
For you to cry on
Always giving what I can
Tell me your secrets
I'll tell you mine
I encourage your dreams
And provide comfort if they should shatter
For I am a friend

I am a woman
Full of fantasies
I am passionate, sensual
Emotional
I take you to heights
Never seen before
Making you smile with pleasure
Sharing my ecstacy
Sharing my heart
For I am a woman

This is who I am
All of this
And more
Take me
For who I am
Or not at all
Don't try
To understand
Just take me
For who I am
