Poetry of the Past

THAT'S NO LIE

We belong together
You and I
In life and love
Babe, that's no lie

We've shared so much
But we still need a start
When will your tell me
What's in your heart

We belong together
You and I
In a house
Babe, that's no lie

Looking ahead
I hear them call
Our sweet little children
One and all

But standing still
I'm so confused
Is this a fact
Of being used

Looking behind
I see nothing at all
Before you came
I had nothing at all

We belong together
You and I
It's plain to see
Babe that's no lie

Somehow I know
That you need me
Because I need you
So desparately

We belong together
You and I
In life and love
Babe that's no lie
